Pintó ocupación is an audio documentary that revisits a little-known chapter in Uruguay’s recent history: the 1996 student movement, when students occupied thirty public high schools in protest against an education reform. Centered on the occupation of Montevideo’s Liceo 15, the podcast weaves together archival material, interviews, and personal memories to tell the story of a group of teenagers, aged 15 to 18, who became part of one of the country’s largest student mobilizations.

Thirty years later, those former students reunite to reflect on the experience, the lasting impact it had on their lives, and its place in Uruguay’s collective memory.
